具有墨西哥及西班牙血統的 Jessica Alba 出生於美國加州的 Pomona , 當 Jessica 小時候,家人就一塊搬到密西西比州的 Biloxi , 她的父親是空軍,當她九歲時,全家人又一起搬回了南加州. Jessica 從五歲起就想當個演員, 她在十二歲時有了第一次的演戲經驗.

 

不久之後, 一家經紀公司即與她簽了約. 1993年, Jessica 首部電影「Camp Nowhere」飾演 Gail . 在第一部電影之後,她為「Nintendo」和「J.C. Penny」拍攝廣告及幾個獨立製片. 1994年, 她在「The Secret World Of Alex Mac」中首次獨挑大樑.

 

同年, 在電視影集「Flipper 」中飾演飛行員 Maya... 她花了1995年一整年在澳洲拍攝「Flipper」的第一季!!! 1996年 Jessica 在「Venus Rising」中飾演年輕的 Eve, 同年,在「Chicago Hope」中飾演Maria一角. 1998年,在「Brooklyn South」中飾演Melissa , 幾個月之後,她出現在超紅影集飛越比佛利的第二單元, 飾演 Leanne .

 

台灣觀眾對她的認識應該是在「Never Been Kissed」中的小角色, 飾演學校風雲人物之一 "Kirsten" . 大家還記得她糾正 Drew 對她名字的念法吧!!! 2000年的鐵達尼號大導演 James Cameron 埶導的「Dark Angel」指定 Jessica Alba 演出女主角,可見好萊塢對她的重視!!
