出生於加拿大溫哥華的 Melissa 家中還有一個弟弟，十七歲開始演戲，十九歲簽了經紀約後演出她第一部正式電影「Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules」(遜咖冒險王2)、期間客串許多耳熟能詳的影集，包括「綠箭俠」、「超自然檔案」及「明日傳奇」等，在2016年演出兩部科幻電影「Lost Solace」及「Star Trek Beyond」. 2017年主演 CW電視網電視劇「Valor」(譯：英勇飛行) 以及在 NBC電視網的電視劇「Manifest」(命運航班) 中飾演女主角 Michaela。
