1992年出生於北約克郡 Northallerton，1995年搬到西約克郡 Wetherby 的 Jessica，七歲就在影集「 My Parents Are Aliens 」中客串演出，高中就讀 Wetherby High， 其間在影集「 No Angels 」( 不是天使 )、「 The Chase 」( 刨根問底 ) 中也有短暫出現。

 



2007年除了在 Billie Eltringham 執導的英國喜劇電影「 Mrs. Ratcliffe's Revolution 」( 老娘鬧革命 ) 中飾演 Mary 一角，也加入了 ITV頻道 英國長壽經典肥皂劇「 Coronation Street 」( 加冕街 )，飾演 Kayleigh Morton 一角。「 加冕街 」至今已播映近六十年，Jessica 在2007年三月~2008年九月間共演出72集，直到 Morton 家族離開劇集。2009年在英國皇家宮廷演出「 Jerusalem 」舞台劇，之後又到西區阿波羅劇院演出。

 



2010年，在 Stephen Frears 執導的英國喜劇電影「 Tamara Drewe 」( 塔瑪拉小姐 ) 中飾演 Jody Long 一角。劇本由 Moira Buffini 編寫，改編自 Posy Simmonds 的同名漫畫作品，原始素材是 十九世紀 Thomas Hardy 的小說「 遠離塵囂 」現代改編版。電影在2010年五月坎城影展首映。

有趣的是，2015年第四次改編「 遠離塵囂 」的影視作品「 Far From The Madding Crowd 」( 遠離塵囂：真愛相隨 ) 電影，Jessica 也在片中飾演 Liddy 一角，與 Carey Mulligan, Michael Sheen, Juno Temple 合作演出。

2011年 Jessica 在科幻冒險驚悚片「 Hanna 」( 少女殺手的奇幻旅程 ) 中 飾演 Sophie 一角，電影由 Joe Wright 執導，與 Saoirse Ronan, Eric Banna, Cate Blanchett 一起合作。2012年在 Menhaj Huda 執導的英國都市傳說恐怖片「 Comedown 」及 Alastair Siddons 執導的懸疑片「 In The Dark Half 」中演出。

2013年在 Jorge Dorado 執導的心理驚悚片「 Mindscape 」( 思維空間 ) 中飾演 Mousey 一角，與 Taissa Farmiga, Mark Strong, Noah Taylor 及 Brian Cox 共同演出。電影在 2013年10月13日，西班牙著名的第46屆錫切斯影展 (主要放映驚悚恐怖奇幻電影為主 ) 首映。

 



2014年 Jessica 演出美國獨立電影「 Lullaby 」( 搖籃曲 )，2015年在改編自 Sadie Jones 同名小說的英國迷你影集「 The Outcast 」( 離親叛眾 ) 中飾演 Kit Carmichael 一角，劇集共90分鐘，於7月12、19日於 BBC ONE 上播映。

 



2016年 在「 Penny Dreadful 」( 英國恐怖故事 ) 第三季中，Jessica 飾演 Justine 一角，此影集由英美製作，John Logan 主創及 Sam Mendes 擔任執行製作，第三季從2016年5月播映到2016年6月。同年由 Sean Foley 執導、Ridley Scott, Steve Coogan 製片的獨立喜劇電影「 Mindhorn 」( 過氣偵探 ) 中 Jessica 飾演 Jasmine。

 



2017年 Jessica 加入 Channel 4/Netflix 黑色喜劇影集「The End Of The F***ing World 」( 去x的世界末日 ) 中飾演女主角 Alyssa, 影集改編自 Charles Forsman 同名作品，第一季2017年10月24日在英國首播，Netflix 於2018年1月5日全球播映。第二季在2019年11月4日上線。影集在2018年獲得英國電影學院獎最佳劇集提名，及黃金時段艾美獎最佳攝影提名。
